Baby alpaca is a fiber grade, not the age of the animal. With proper care, alpaca textiles are known to last 20 to 40 years.
Dry cleaning preferred. Not machine washable.
To hand wash, use cold water with a wool wash or pH-neutral detergent. Do not agitate or wring. Dry flat on a towel. Never hang wet, never tumble dry.
Store folded in a breathable cotton bag. Between cleanings, air it outdoors in shade.
